Brett paints with a bulldozer. His brother jumps motorcycles. We took both of them to Long Island and filmed it.
I conceived it, storyboarded it, directed the shoot, and scored it.
I usually just say "I'm in production."
What I really do is help creative ideas survive contact with reality: the shoot that shouldn't have worked, the client with a vision but no plan.
Twenty-five years of it: film, music, brand campaigns, documentaries — all in NYC. I direct and I compose. Same person, same vision.
In that span I've run four companies, hundreds of campaigns, a stage musical, and a motorcycle jump. I kept all of it but organized none of it. Not because the work didn't matter, but because the next thing was already pulling me forward.

The CMO called directly. No agency. Two spots, two ideas, one classroom. First spot runs on reduction: truck, tree, tomato, Pomì. Kids know the answer before the question. Second spot runs on transformation: acorn to tree, caterpillar to butterfly, tomato to Pomì.
Crew of twelve. Cast was a teacher, six kids under eight, a row of anxious parents, and the client. The spots ran internationally. The pack shot ended up on a truck wrap in Italy.
Mauviel × Eleven Madison Park Direction / Cinematography / Edit / Photography
Mauviel makes French luxury cookware. Eleven Madison Park is one of the world's top-ranked restaurants. We made a case study film about why the second uses the first.
I directed, shot, and edited the film. Chef Daniel Humm walked us through how he uses Mauviel on the line. We mostly stayed out of the way.
Tommy Tune — Taps, Tunes and Tall Tales Direction / DP / Art Direction / Edit / Composition / Audio / Photography
Taps, Tunes and Tall Tales was Tommy Tune's autobiographical one-man show at Feinstein's at Loews Regency, November 2012. Nine Tony Awards. Michael Biagi at the piano, his music director of nearly four decades.
The production was on me: direction, camera, art direction, edit, composition, sound, mix, master, stills. The show is the show. The job was to deliver it intact.
Journey Health & Lifestyle Direction / DP / Photography / Casting / Art Direction
Journey Health & Lifestyle makes mobility and lifestyle products for seniors — power chairs, scooters, lift recliners, walkers, beds. The 2022 campaign needed photo, video, catalog, web, and advertorial. All of it. We built two full studio sets at Macy's Long Island City facilities, then ran two more days on location in New Jersey.
I directed and shot every frame. Cast the talent. Directed the set design: layouts, parameters, build supervision. Macy's in-house team handled the construction. On the NJ location days I hired a second photographer and stayed on as director and DP.
